There is something refreshing about being frank and, therefore, about Being Frank I don’t mean changing your name…although Frank is a good name. I’m referring to the dropping of pretences, lowering of masks, removal of walls – that sort of thing. I say refreshing because more often than not these days, we find that we have to operate behind one or all of the aforementioned types of barriers for a very good reason. Clothes are a good example of a barrier I’m not planning on getting rid of!

But there are some things which can benefit from having the barrier removed – hence why I think Being Frank promises to be refreshing. This blog has been created for us to be able to have an honest, frank and refreshing conversation about our faith (Catholic) and our take as Catholic New Zealanders living in the world.

I say conversation because we want you to take part by leaving us comments, giving us stories, praying for us…you get the idea.

And we think that being frank about our faith and our views on the world is an exciting, interesting and generally good idea.

Maybe if we’re all a bit more frank about what we believe and what we think, we might even learn more about our faith and each other.

Wouldn’t that be refreshing?
