Happy New Year everyone.
Today marks the end of the Christmas Octave, also the Feast of the Circumcision of Our Lord, and also the Solemnity of the Mother of God.
As usual at around this time of year, being frank is rather quiet. I thought I’d continue the theme established on Christmas Day and hark back to happier times. I’ve attached a link to the Gradual of the Mass of the Day in the Traditional Rite. It is beautiful. I hope you can spare a few minutes to listen and pray to it.
Here is the translation:
Viderunt omnes fines terræ salutare Dei nostri: iubilate Deo,
omnis terra.
V. Notum fecit Dominus salutare suum: ante conspectum
gentium revelavit iustitiam suam. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God:
sing joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.
V. The Lord has made known His salvation: He has
revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations.
May the Mother of God bless you all abundantly this year.

Very beautiful. Thanks, Marty. Latin chant certainly raises the mind and heart to God. Have a happy and blessed New Year!
